Tales from St. Mary's Catholic School

i'm a fifth grader and our job after Sunday School was to clean up the top floor, which used to be the dorms when it was a convent.

Me and my friend blow out candles, sweep, close doors, turn off lights and hvac, all that shit.

Next day is Monday and kids that got there early would hangout in the library on the top floor. Me and the same friend get to school at the same time, walk up together, get to the top floor, every single candle was lit, every door open, and books / pamphlets all over the halls. No one to be found. Let's say 2005ish. Second, I'm in high school and my friends and i are being shitheads and are like "hey, wonder if the window by the fire escape is open at St Mary's?"

So we climb the fire escape to the 3rd story computer lab window, open it, see a man, Damn near fall off the fire escape, and all hurry down and run away. Around 2012.

St Marys School on Washington is haunted. it used to be a convent, then a boarding school, before becoming the elementary it is today.

Heres some personal experiences, though I've heard many more from many other people.

- a friend and i were in Sunday school at St Marys in the 2000s and classes were held on the top floor of the school, where the Library, computer lab, and a few miscellaneous classrooms are. I have been told this floor used to be the dorms, but I haven't seen anything to confirm that. My friend and I blew out ALL the candles on the top floor, as this was around the time the church burned down so it was all extra fresh in our minds to blow out candles. We came to school the next day, on Monday, ran up to hangout in the library before school, and every single candle on the top floor was lit.

- When i was in Mrs. Needham's second grade class there was a broad daylight experience that many people witnessed and still remember. We were going over something, I don't remember what, but i remember Mrs. Needham was at the chalkboard and we were all paying pretty close attention. as she was talking an old Phonograph player turned on and started playing some old jazz/swing type music. but the Phonograph wasn't plugged in or cranked, had no record on it, couldn't connect to the radio, and hadn't worked for years. we literally all ran into the hallway lmao. i later learned her class room was once the infirmary and had a staircase in it to the top floor for easy access at one point.
