I have only lived at this residence for approximately seven years. Family has lived at this home for just over seventeen years.
I don't want to go into too many details, so apologies for nothing being incredibly juicy. I have only lived at this residence for approximately seven years. Family has lived at this home for just over seventeen years. The property and buildings are sat on a double lot with plenty of room for a small assembly of livestock---a horse or two, some goats, chickens, etc.
This whole place was once condemned. There were some questionable and interesting construction, plumbing, and electrical choices. We've done a tremendous amount of rebuilding and remodeling. When the main house was pretty well gutted, we began experiencing shadows dancing in the corners of our vision. Movement, humanoid-shaped in our peripherals. We would think it was a passing worker or family member---at least, that's what we would initially chalk it up to, even if the reality was one of us was working alone that day.
Neighbors who are aware of the house refer to it as the "haunted place," and admit to seeing shadows leaving by the front door at random hours. Our home was host to a homicide five decades ago. At least one ghost resides here, and often we'll see the shadowy figure of the presumed victim ambling through the hallway and toward the door. They don't seem to be a dark entity, just a lost soul going about their day. We live peacefully.
