This took place at a house on Princeton Street in the mid-2000’s.

One early Sunday morning, My wife at the time and I were asleep and our children were at my parent’s house.

Just after daybreak, her cell phone rang. She looked at the number and it was coming from our house phone that was in the kitchen.

When she saw the caller ID she was startled and woke me up. I ran to the kitchen to see who was in the house using our home phone and it was still on the charger.

When I looked down on the floor, I saw red droplets. Curious, I squatted down and upon closer look realized it was red candle wax.

The candle wax continued on the tile until the hallway, where the flooring transitioned to carpet. I walked down our long hallway checking each room.

At the end of the hallway was our daughters room. On a play table in the center of the room was a large red candle sitting on a plate that had melted.

To this day, we do not know how this happened because we were the only ones in the house and the candle did not belong to us.
