I'M GONNA GET YOU
I’ve been a paranormal investigator for longer than most of this audience has had armpit hair
So I too, have a few.
Pampa
One of my favorites was a home in Pampa Texas, that a young girl had inherited recently from her grandparents.
She hadn’t been in the house for long, and reported having nightmares every night she’d slept there. She had unsettled feelings that she didn’t understand why, but then she heard the last straw.
She had been sitting in her living room in total silence, (she had not moved in a television yet and did not have on a radio) folding laundry. She hears a very distinct man’s voice say “I’m gonna get you!”
She immediately left the premises and had been staying at a friend’s for a few days when she called us.
Throughout our investigation we were able to determine that the cause of her nightmares was more than likely not a haunting. She was sleeping on the other side of the wall as her refrigerator. I don’t know who installed it, but I’m pretty confident they don’t have a license because they had broken off the grounding prong on the refrigerator plug-in and had a 220 appliance plugged into 110 socket!
We immediately unplugged it, (there was nothing in it anyway) and explained to her that she was sleeping just yards away from the source of an extremely high electromagnetic field. This was quite likely the source of her nightmares.
But there was still the disembodied voice we had to deal with.
We had discovered that she was his favorite grandchild and began doing an EVP session with several different tools in use.
We also conducted the session at his kitchen table where he passed away, but also where he lived very much of his life. Someone asked her if her grandfather ever tickled her or played chase with her where he might use that phrase, playfully of course, the phrase “I’m gonna get you”?
Her eyes got wide when she realized he had actually done that a lot.
So during the EVP session, someone stated “If this is her grandfather, do you realize that it frightens her when you tried to contact her from the other side?”
I am not embellishing nor fabricating the fact when I say, every bit of equipment we were using went dead. Flatlined. We couldn’t get another reading all night.
I personally believe that when he realized that he wasn’t playing with his little granddaughter anymore, that he was frightening his adult granddaughter, he immediately stopped.
She was his favorite and he would never want her to be frightened. It’s been a long time now so I’m not sure what came of her but I know she was able to sleep peacefully in her house that night.
