THE 4-PLEX

"I lived in a 4-plex a few blocks from Oliver Eakle Park and that place was haunted. My son would have night terrors and tell me that the gorillas were laughing at him. That one still doesn't fully make sense to me.

One night my sister and some friends were over watching the movie "The Conjuring". Nobody ever left the living room during this time and once everyone left I had turned some music on in the DVD player and had grabbed the remove to change songs and it wasn't working.

I opened the back of the remote and the batteries were placed backwards. I thought it was somebody being an asshole and trying to scare me.

But, when I went to bed I went to turn on my boom box for music when I was in bed and it wasn't working either, same thing, the batteries were backwards.

Nobody left that living room so it wasn't possible they did it.

I asked all of them about it and they looked horrified and told me they didn't touch the batteries in the remote.

We had a maintenance person come into the house for repairs and noticed some things went missing.

We set up a camera to see if he was coming into the house as the repairs were in the back laundry room. We caught a figure the height of a child on camera walk through the kitchen into the laundry room then walk back in.

When laying in bed I would feel my cat jump on the bed but my cat was not there, this one happened often.

Finally, when I decided to move out I started to have night paralysis nightly.

The first time it happened I was falling asleep and it sounded like a storm suddenly outside, wind blowing really hard and the trees creaking outside my window. There was a dark figure (like a dementor in Harry Potter) hovering over me like it was trying to attach itself to me. I couldn't move or speak and it was absolutely terrifying.

This was the most common thing that occurred but there were other scenarios that happened nightly until I moved and they suddenly stopped.

I still get night paralysis rarely but nothing scary like that.

My son is much older now and still recalls the gorillas, he's not a fan of gorillas to this day.
