RIDG Wayne Street

I’m not going to give the exact address but 15 years ago when I had babies, my ex and I rented a house on the 36th block of Wayne Street for 2 years. That house was very nice but definitely haunted.

We had rented it after the previous owner had passed naturally of old age and the stuff that went on wasn’t scary until right at the end.

One room was pretty large and the entire side of it was one big mirrored closet. I made a guest room/office out of it and I was always seeing things in the mirror behind me when I was at the desk.

We even watched a movie as a family on the bed in there and something with cold but firm hands grabbed my husbands feet for about five seconds and he did NOT believe in the paranormal.

The french doors were see through going onto the back deck and in the middle of the day my stepdaughter and I were playing with my youngest son who was 9 months old when both doors started rattling at their hinges with a heavy knocking on both doors. We were right in front of them and could clearly see nothing on the other side but the deck and a clear, sunny day. No wind (for a change) as the flowers and others things on and around the deck weren’t moving.

If we were watching a television show (I think it was usually when we watched True Blood) if there was a lot of nudity or cussing our tv would just randomly turn off.

Same thing with our iPods and this could be any of the three we had in the house, once mounted on speakers (the early days) and if the song was overly aggressive or had cussing in it would too sometimes just power off.

We thought maybe the old lady who’d passed didn’t approve of that.

Things would be moved, I’m OCD about stuff and my ex never bothered with much around the house but I would notice things.

Our French bulldog was sweet and dorky to everyone but every now and then he’d just stop in either the entry hallway or bedroom hallway and start barking viciously and run back to the closest person. He never did that anywhere before or after.

I saw a little blonde haired boy facing a corner and mistook him for my oldest who was 3 at the time then realized he had been asleep in his room for awhile, when I looked back nothing was there.

A lot happened in two years. Most of it we just rolled with but we did get spooked a few times.
