Tales from St. Mary's Catholic School

Two St Mary's stories:

First Story

i'm a fifth grader and our job after Sunday School was to clean up the top floor, which used to be the dorms when it was a convent.

Me and my friend blow out candles, sweep, close doors, turn off lights and hvac, all that shit.

Next day is Monday and kids that got there early would hangout in the library on the top floor. Me and the same friend get to school at the same time, walk up together, get to the top floor, every single candle was lit, every door open, and books / pamphlets all over the halls. No one to be found. Let's say 2005ish.

Second story

Second, I'm in high school and my friends and i are being shitheads and are like "hey, wonder if the window by the fire escape is open at St Mary's?"

So we climb the fire escape to the 3rd story computer lab window, open it, see a man, Damn near fall off the fire escape, and all hurry down and run away. Around 2012.

St Mary's is haunted

St Marys School on Washington is haunted. it used to be a convent, then a boarding school, before becoming the elementary it is today.

Heres some personal experiences, though I've heard many more from many other people.

Reply

I can confirm, I was actually a student when these both these events happened, very spooky! I had friends who reported a ghost girl in the girls bathrooms by where the kindergarten classrooms were at the time on the south side of the building right around that same time.

My mother was on the PTA equivalent group and helped organize the carnival for a number of years. After the whole thing was over one year, her and a few of the other pta moms were taking those giant rolls of paper back up to the office. Well according to my mom, when they were inside they heard laughing and what sounded like a radio or TV coming from upstairs. This was around 12 am on a weekend night, nobody should've been in the school.

The tall part of the school with wooden staircases is a very old building, over 100 years old iirc. It's the oldest school building in the city.
